The Anniversary McSheplets Tree
On August 27th 2007, exactly a year ago I posted the first mcsheplets challenge, marking the opening of this community.
What better way to celebrate than with what this community is about: Ficlets! To that end we'll have a Ficlet tree from now until Sunday, September 7th 2008. I won't get around to compiling the Masterlist until tonight (Monday), so feel free to still add your ficlets :)
How it works:
In a moment I'll post a comment with a short John/Rodney fic. (Thanks to neevebrody for the beta on that.) (ETA: Done!)
You select a sentence/phrase from the ficlet and write your own ficlet that includes the chosen sentence/phrase somewhere (please bold it) and post it as an answer to the fic.
Someone else can then do the same with your fic and write their fic from a phrase of yours etc until we have a nice tree of McSheplets.
Posting Rules:
At the end of our celebration I'll post a masterlist of all McSheplets with links.

Posting Rules:
- Ficlets must fit into a comment. (Feel free to link to an extended version that you posted elsewhere, but the ficlets in the tree should be no longer than comment length, which is 4300 characters, roughly 750 words.) There is no minimum length.
- The subject for your comment should include the title of the fic and the rating.
Example: Boys will be boys. NC-17.
You could add additional info:
Example: Best Man. John/Rodney. Rodney/Katie. G. Angst.
Note: I'm not fuzzy on the punctuation. If you prefer commas or dashes as separators, have at it. - Hewligan and RPS are allowed, but must be noted in the comment subject
Example: RPS: Last Day. Joe/David. R. Partner Betrayal.

Example: Hewligan: Day Off. Brendan/Emmett. PG. - Please use spoiler warnings for The Shrine (or beyond if you want to) in the subject.
Example: Only the best for you. John/Rodney. PG. (Spoilers for The Shrine)
