It's Monday Tuesday and time for a new challenge.

Challenge #295 is:

PromiseHow much can you trust someone's word? Do the natives tell the truth if they promise the team has nothing to fear? Does the SGC when it says Atlantis will return home soon? What are things that John or Rodney promise each other or themselves? And when are promises broken

It's not entirely tirelessly... I'm actually going to announce that I'll stop posting new challenges after challenge 300.

I won't close down the community, though. I have literally dozens of challenge answers written that I never posted, so I want to get on that, and the 300 previous challenges (minus the "Other Side of the Deadline" ones) will remain to inspire.

If you wanted, you could start posting old challenges. I'm not sure how many people were in McShep fandom back then and already answered the old challenges. And even if that's the case, after 11 years, someone might be inspired to write a completely different story (or post a gifset, draw an image...).

While I'm sad to see this stop running, I'm super pleased that you're going to let it remain open for people to check out old prompts. Perhaps I'll go back and start from prompt #1, and post it once a week. There's a new dreamwidth comm - mcsheppers - that I crossposted this challenge to already. If you're fine with it, I'll continue posting the challenges over there while linking back to this LJ.

Thanks for pointing mcsheppers out to me. I just added it to my circle (though I'm not often on Dreamwidth these days).

And yes, I think it's a great idea to start at #1 and post once a week.
