1. How long have you been writing fan fiction?
I discovered on-line fandom about five minutes after I discovered the internet, back in the early 90's. A few years later I wrote my very first piece of fanfiction - a Voyager/DS9 crossover that is thankfully lost to the ages. It was probably around '95 or '96. Then I got distracted by grad school and didn't write again until 2002, when I started watching "Enterprise".
2. Have you participated in any other fandoms?
I've written in Enterprise, SG-1 and currently, the Strachey Mysteries.
3. What do you enjoy most about SGA and/or SGA fandom?
I liked SG-1, but SGA has totally won my heart. I love that the characters aren't great big heroes. They're good people who they say and do dumb things and screw up and sometimes make a situation worse by simply being there. And, as a pairing, I adore John and Rodney. Fabulous chemistry.
SGA fandom constantly delights me. I've been in it since the start, and it makes me happy to see new folks come in, to see them get caught up in the fun and produce wonderful fic and art and squee and make it a fun place to be.
4. Why did you choose to join Team Romance?
Because John + Rodney + romance is a wonderful thing. Whether it's dorky, clumsy and awkward or intense and passionate and awkward. You just know they're not going to be very good at it. Neither of these guys are particularly smooth.
5. Where can interested readers find more of your work?
Either on my journal, or at my website:
the grrrl's slash fic.
