I love the pun/double meaning of the title, the coup de grace which is a touch of grace. And the way you've done the 3some is very plausible to me -- that John & Jennifer can get along sexually, but they don't really like each other all that deeply.

Oh, this is wonderful! You did a gorgeous job with the John/Rodney/Jennifer tension -- the sexual tension, the awkwardness, the hotness (nnnrgh), the way the intimacy between them in their various configurations deepens (or doesn't.) I love the scene where John and Jennifer have lunch -- where he realizes he doesn't really know her. I love that your John is obviously appreciative of Jennifer and her body, even though he's in this for Rodney; I love John's thinly-veiled panic at the beginning (and Rodney's thinly-veiled panic a little later on) and how once they're touching the panic goes entirely away.

This is fabulous.

I actually liked your Jennifer in this and I could see the three of them together - at least for a while. Nice.

I love how you juggled all the pairings here. I always enjoy well written Keller/Mckay, even when they don't end up together. There's so much fic where she's just used as a shrewy contrast to John and Rodney's OTP. You made her both likable and complex.

Oh, that is lovely. Warm and considerate and hot -- yes, two temperatures at once! -- and I can see them in this dance, trying to find the right balance, accepting that maybe they can't have everything.
