This seems to me to be an interestingly meta concept, with duplicates of John and Rodney compelled to enact one emotional situation after another, never remembering from one to the next, coming together again and again under the omnipotent manipulations of a woman guiding their interactions-- sounds kind of like slash fan fiction itself. So it's rather fitting that the bulk of this story puts them through the Pon Farr scenario from a classically slashy episode of original Trek. Fascinating. *arches one eyebrow* :-)

Well, when Lorne put his hand in John's head, *I* was surprised! Chilling, I agree, and heartbreaking that John continues to fight this rigged battle against his enemies.

That was fabulously creepy! It really captured how totally chilling and sinister the Asurans can be. Very well done!

So many different stories in just this one, and oh, all heartbreaking and sad and interesting all at once. Chaya as the villian/replicator was ingenious!
