If you were too late to join the team you were interested in, or you'd rather just be a back up for the fest in any case, this is where you let us know
( Read more... )
We can't say for certain because it depends on when people actually drop out, but we'll give backups as long as we can. We'll contact you with details once a spot actually opens up, so don't worry, you don't need to commit without knowing. :-)
I was late too. Waaah! Sign me up to pinch-hit for either team.
How do the backups work? I'm assuming once the deadline has arrived, you'll schedule the prompts that didn't get both their submissions to be posted later in the fest. So the backup writers would have two weeks, give or take, starting roughly from August 21st?
(Maybe that would be better for me than being on a team from the beginning... if I have too much time to write I get paralyzed!)
You made it on the team, don't worry :) If you'd rather be a backup let us know, but you have a place if you want it!
Backup writers have as long as we can give them, basically, and you described pretty much how it works. We keep the last few days for them and it's worked out fine so far :)
Oh how exciting! I was sure I was #24 but then I thought maybe there were really only 23 open spaces, + 1 for this year's caption, + 1 for last year's captain. Yes, I'd love to be on the team!
Oh, now I understand my own confusion - I thought trobadora was replying to me when she said all spots were filled, but she was putting that in for everyone posting afterwards. OK!

Preference would be Team Peace, but I'd be willing to try the other if needed.
