I haven't read it yet, but I'm flailing and waving my hands around in glee because DRUM CORPS FIC! Which sadly, means no woodwinds, but still! (I played clarinet in my high school marching band:)

This truly is the fic I never knew I *needed*. I have tears in my eyes, I'm so happy.

OMG RONON TOTALLY COMES OFF DRUMLINE more than pit! Maybe I just missed it in my glee- but Ronon is playing snare or tenor? You definitely get extra points for mentioning running over a field judge. I can imagine Rodney yelling at musicians - I would have *died* - hell of a motivation though!

I love this so much, I really can't figure out how to type it convincingly, so I guess I'll just say: This is the AU OF MY *SOUL*!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know nothing about drum corps, but this was fantastic despite my ignorance. I loved waiting for John to get it with Rodney, and how panicked he was about the prospect of Rodney leaving. The inter-team rivalries were great (boo, hiss, to the Wraith) and you had Larrin!

Enjoyable, but I spent a lot of the fic confused about the drum corps aspect. Some of them are in school but they're not affiliated with one, and I kind of felt like I was missing out on a lot of details about how the whole thing worked. My confusion there kind of detracted from my enjoyment of the fic. Wikipedia has since cleared it up for me, but should a reader have to look up something like that to understand what's happening in the story?
