Oh. My. God.

I am so ridiculously in love with this story, you have no idea. And I was totally expecting a sad ending, so the real endng (and PANCAKES!!! Love!!!!) shocked me. Of COURSE the Ancients kicked him out.

I refuse to classify this as angst because I spent the one day bit going 'eee!' and snickering at Rodney's accusations of Ascended!kink and refusing to do glowy sex, the Rodney saves the city going 'oh, sniffle but it's *good* sniffle' and then going 'd'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww they so *cute*' at the end. you FAIL, missy.

And if you mute Top Gun, how do you suppress the urge to laugh at Maverick's attempted hetness and so-not-a-crush on Goose-honest and 'us? fucking like bunnies? *never*' with Iceman? Admittedly the Kenny Loggins soundtrack deserves muting, I'll give you that.

I fail? *sniff* Oh well. Thanks anyway!!! I think angst can have a happy ending, although I've noticed from a few comments (not yours) to other stories that some people don't agree.

I'm not sure the homoerotic subtext in Top Gun is worth having to listen to the dialog. I'm going to have to think about it. :D
