God, yes! Add that to tumblr and I'm completely O_O by it all. I do love that SGA was huge in its heyday, though, as I keep discovering writers I devoured at speed back when I was in full early fascination with McShep, and I can read them again and enjoy them afresh. It's like painting the Golden Gate bridge - by the time I cycle through it all I've forgotten the first fics!
Indeed. They really do complement each other very well! I like gen fic too, though I tend to enjoy fics that focus on John and Rodney. Leaving aside shipping, they're my two favorite characters, so I like reading about them :D
