I'm about to get really nerdy. Be warned.

So I finally saw TMNT today, and I absolutely loved it. Walking out of the theater (while at target, and on the way home), I kept exclaiming to Aubrie how fantastic the movie was, and it's only after thinking about it for hours while I threw boxes that I figured out why. There's nothing wrong with puting the turtles over GI Joe or Transformers. I did the same thing until GI Joe won out later on.

Also we have reprints of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 at work for some reason. I think I can get you one.

Alright, so it wasn't as bad as I let on.

Main problems:
1) the animation style is so lousy--either muppets or pure animation--I have an ever-burning hatred for CG animation styles.
2) not even a hint or faint reference to the original theme song? They could have plugged it into the mocking of the past stories (birthday parties).
3) April--no, no, no.

1)even pixar done stuff? what do you think of the incredibles? i can forgive the overly stylized humans for the good design of the turtles, the generals, the monsters, and the foot clan.
2) true. it would have been awesome if cowabunga carl danced to the old theme song.
3) yeah, i know...but it's better than superman being a deadbeat dad.

I haven't seen it yet, but I will.

for me, it was my turtles and a few klingons whooping the shit out of my cousin's barbies. but I still got her barbie horse. I don't know why. Non-articulated hip joints don't work well for that, but it doesn't matter.
