Ray and Frank in Feburary 2011 edition of Guitar World

Jan 10, 2011 23:39

Not sure how many guitarists there are floating about, but this article is neat. They discuss their influences, styles, creative process (not just Danger Days), among other things.

My inner music nerd loves this article. Ray using one of Jimi Hendrix's Strats! ♥

Does the Guitar World come with MCR tabs? I just might have to get it if it does.

It doesn't, unfortunately. :(

Howeverrr...this issue does have "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath, "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley, "Situations" by Escape the Fate, "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon, "The Final Episode" by Asking Alexandria, and "Animal" by Neon Trees if you're interested in any of those haha.

Too bad (although that song selection isn't too shabby). Thanks!

Ray Toro, still so humble. *_____*

Lovely article.

Though I wish to God they'd stop with the 'scared of TBP' stuff. I get it, I do - it was exhausting, they toured too much, people misunderstood them. But I kind of wish they'd just be like FUCK YOUUUUUUUUU MISUNDERSTANDING PEOPLE THIS RECORD IS FUCKING AWESOME SO GO AWAY

Such good music on that album, so musically complex. I love it too.

It was epic, sweeping, classically-influenced story-telling inspirational rock. It was like they took all my favorite bits of 3Cheers - the melodies, the ballads, the storytelling - and made a whole album of it. I was ecstatic. Definitely my favorite sound of theirs. :)
