No kitty condo for Seamus

Dec 21, 2008 16:34

A couple days ago I went to Seamus' vet to refill his medication. While there I found out that Pender has a new "Pet Retreat." I had already booked the fur tube to be boarded at the vet's for when I'm in Seattle; but the new retreat has "kitty condos ( Read more... )

Have you looked into PetSmart's Pet Hotels?

I'm not a fan of Banfield, but the one time I used PetHotel, it was a good experience. They obviously spent enough time with my grouchy cat that she didn't sulk when I got home. In fact, she seemed so happy, that I was convinced she just needed more company and got her a sister.

Since your cat is high maintenance, you'll definitely want to factor in the fact that they'll farm out medical needs to Banfield. But I think they're trustworthy enough for routine bits. My real beef with them is their inability to diagnose anything more complex than a cold.

Thank you for the link! It's a bit late now, but I will definitely keep them in mind for future trips! (And one of their hotels is just down the road. Excellent!)

I like Pender. They're really good with my pets!

From everyone I've talked to that goes there, the general consensus is that Pender is a great vet. One good sign: in all the years I've taken Seamus to them I still recognize most of the staff. They don't have a lot of turn-over.

You know I love Seamus, and would ordinarily offer my services, but I still bear the scars from the last kitty who lodged with me. (He and Shiva got along okay. He and Freya did not.)

Hey- I'm Madame en Retard--one step too late always. I seem to read your journal AFTER the awesome piping event, AFTER you are hunting for housing arrangements, etc. etc.

Give me a call next time with any pressing or interesting news--or email--I'll send you an email too as a followup in case you lost it!--I'm in MD now w/ GIANT DOG who would probably scare the fur off of fur tube, but I'm here & willing to help where/when/if I can!

We need to catch up. I need a piping fix (I know that sounded dirty).

Sure! I'll be back Friday, but probably will take a few days to recover. Otherwise, I should be around.
