80 degrees, dry, sunny, with little white floaty things...

I went out for a run this morning, and noticed that the weather today was pretty much exactly how I imagined it would feel in certain anime, particularly during the first ten minutes of any Miyazaki film, or any flashback sequence that involves bright sunny meadows, and unexpectedly cute supernatural beings.

I can just see/hear the weather report now. With a little goku image on the screen over Michigan. "Today will be bright and sunny and the perfect weather for Goglo 13 to meet a hot chick.

I think it really hit me when I was going through the prairie in the Arb and saw the wind making waves through the grass. Alas, there were no magic doors, or floating castles.

And no panoramic digital movie camera in hand.

Yep, you gotta be careful with that wasabi.

I like wasabi on Weetabix, too.

I agree yesterday had absolutely awesome weather. ...and I didn't notice it before, but you're right, it was as if I had stepped into those beggining minutes of Spitited Away... :)

I did not eat the unattended food at the picnic shelters.

Good plan. I don't think a snout would suit you. :)

This summer wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Our first couple summers after moving down from da UP, we had the air on a lot. Last summer was perfect. Today is turning out to be very nice. Now if we could just get air to flow through the apartment, it would be so much better.

this summer (up to last night) has been plenty bad enough for me to consider moving away.

If either of you are interested in moving air better, might I suggest the black Honeywell "MegaTurbo" fan. There's some PR in their graphic design, but the fan is essentially different than most other generic box-fan designs. mcniadh and I took a course on Helicopter/VTOL aerodynamics, and we learned how to design a good rotor blade. This fan has a good rotor blade. Um, three of them, actually.

The weather has been nice... which frightens me. Because nice weather doesn't last long in Michigan, and given it's "nice" because it wasn't so hot, that can only mean one thing: winter.

I'm so not ready.

So did you see any unexpectedly cute supernatural beings? Other than yourself, I mean?

We've had a spell of reasonable weather here, too. Our drought seems to have broken (3 good rains in the last 2 weeks) and the grass has turned amazingly green. Plants in my garden are even flowering!

This is a good respite, but I wouldn't cry if it snowed tomorrow. I'm too afraid that it will suddenly swing back to the high 90s. I don't feel safe until after the first snowfall.
