It's been confirmed.  I'm a diabetic and have been for some time (emphasis from the nurse who gave me the news by phone).  I'm remaining upbeat as this goes some way to explaining the last 3 years.  Naturally this adds more incentive on being good as if impending fatherhood wasn't enough for me.

Sorry bud, not good given I can sit down about 15 - 20 mins. Would love to say yes as I'm going stir crazy here (reduced to watching series 2 Primeval) but it would be unfair on everyone else.

I can either stand up (and walk slowly for a bit) or lie down. Anything else is painful even with drugs. Right now I'm sprawled on the sofa like a Roman senator and typing away on the netbook.

I've been signed off another week. Better to call off now and continue the plot when I'm fit to sit down (typing that has just illustrated the comedy gold of this situation) with folks around the table.
