Sam, open for anyone showingnuttage July 5 2011, 04:05:16 UTC
Sam should have known that doing anything like that with a friend would ruin the friendship. Since he came to McKinley, he and Mike had quickly become best friends, hanging out a lot, just generally being awesome mates. It was still unclear to Sam exactly how it all changed, but he couldn't deny feelings shifted. Mike started to be more than just a best mate. They had a connection, it seemed so easy, unlike all the times Sam had dated girls when it felt like it was so much damn hard work. It wasn't like that with Mike.

Then they slept together and Mike slammed the brakes on. Pushed Sam away, started avoiding him. Sam had hardly seen Mike since they got back from New York and to say he was really confused was more than an understatement. He told the other footballers he was going to get some air and headed over to the refreshment table for a drink. If this night didn't start to pick up soon, he was bailing.

After finishing her talk with Finn, Tina was in dire need of a drink. She'd finished devouring her cotton candy at about the same time, and it had left her particularly thirsty. After picking up a cup of water, she turned away from the table to wander the area some more, that was until she spotted a familiar figure. "Saaam! Hey!"

Sam grabbed up a Diet Coke and was just snapping it open when he heard his name. He twisted around to see who it was and then grinned. "Hey, Tina. How's it going? Are you having a good time? It's good to see another single person around here. One more slow dance, I might have had to drown myself in the punch bowl," he laughed.

"Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus," Tina said with a small laugh. "We need to get the party tunes back on or something, jeez. But yeah, sappy music aside I'm having a pretty good time. You looking forward to the fireworks later?"

Artie, nudge Tina but open to anyone. dancnwithmyself July 5 2011, 14:12:37 UTC
Artie held back to one side, looking across the park, watching everything that was going on. He spotted Kurt and Blaine in a happy bubble, and couldn't help smiling at them. It was nice to see them so happy - if anyone deserved it, it was Kurt.

He was due to meet Tina at some point, but he was in no hurry. They had gradually built their friendship back up to the point it was before Stuttergate, and everything else that happened, and he was surprisingly okay with that. Sure, he still wanted more, but best friend Tina was better than nothing. He took a sip of the soda he had in his hand, unwilling to move - too many people, too much thick grass, and the food was close by.

"Guess whoooooo?" A cheery voice piped up behind Artie, her hands covering his eyes. Tina had spotted him some time after her chat with Sam, and she couldn't resist sneaking up on him.

Artie jumped slightly as Tina put her hands over his eyes. He wasn't expecting it, and definitely wasn't expecting anyone to cover his eyes. He relaxed as soon as he figured out who it was. "Um... the Easter Bunny?" he joked.

"If so I'm a few months late, aren't I?" She laughed. Tina was sure he knew who it was, but she wanted to see what other guesses he'd make. "Try again!"

Puck and whoever wants to jump in. jewhawk July 5 2011, 18:37:54 UTC
Puck showed up late to the party and stood around near the door, trying to figure out who to talk to first. Shit was weird right now, and he was down with some partying.

He crossed over to the punch, poured himself a cup, and took a sip. Not bad. Better if it had vodka in it, but still... Not bad.

Rachel moved towards the punch to get a bottle of water and stopped, raising an eyebrow towards Noah. "You're not trying to spike this one are you?" she asked. "Not that the punch at prom had anything in it but we kind of knew you were behind it."

Puck laughed a little, reaching out to hug Rachel in the sort of brother-sister way that very few people could get away with in reference to him. "I didn't spike it... Yet," he said with a smirk.

She embraced him and grinned. "I'd expect you to do it sooner. Or is it because your nana searched you before you left?" Rachel asked. "You haven't seem yourself lately."

Puck and Finn jewhawk July 6 2011, 05:45:39 UTC
After getting Finn's text, Puck slipped outside, trying to find his longtime best friend among the onlookers watching the fireworks. They'd only just started, and some stragglers were still crowding in, but lucky for Puck, Finn had a good 3-4 inches height on just about everybody else around. He found his friend, pushed through the crowd, and extended his hand for a handshake/high five. "What's up, dude?" he asked, looking at Finn as his face lit up bright blue from the firework. Puck snorted. "Dude, you look like those Avatar people."

Finn's hand met Puck's with a smirk. "Not much, you? Kurt told me to steer clear of Facebook because I was embarrassing the family, but other than that, it's all good. What you been up to over the summer? The last time I saw you was that Guitar Hero marathon with Blaine. He's not invited next time, by the way. He totally made me look stupid kicking my ass like that."

Puck laughed out loud. "Kurt's a smart dude," he said, punching Finn lightly in the shoulder. "I bet he woulda told you you chicks can't get knocked up from hot tub sperm, too," he added. The teasing between the two of them was pretty harsh from an onlooker's standpoint, but Puck and Finn had been friends for so long, through some crazy shit, that somehow? They could kind of get away with it. "Dude, everybody makes you look stupid on Guitar Hero, because you're really bad at it. Stick to the drums, dude." Still finishing up his snow cone, his tongue stained purple by the grape flavoring, Puck shrugged. "I haven't really done a lot. Just chillin' with Lauren and shit..."

Finn looked at Puck insistently. "Did you know that there are flesh-eating bugs in hot tubs that can eat your dick off? I know you can't make babies by jizzing in them accidentally, but your dick might drop off. Kurt said I should never get into one again," he explained, it pretty much going over his head that Kurt might have just been overexagerrating to keep Finn away from the hot tub scenario in general. "The heat breeds all the bugs and you can catch African Sleeping Sickness."

"Yeah, well, those little guitars are abnormally small for my arms and Blaine's a midget, so it just makes sene. Dude beat me in SingStar, too. I'm so glad he goes to Dalton or I would be screwed with solos. But don't get me wrong, he's cool. I'm glad Kurt didn't hook up with a right douchebag... even if he probably thinks I am one. Are you working or anything?" he asked. "I got a job at the sports store. It's awesome, and it's near where Kurt works, so we hang on our lunch break. You should come get a burger with us sometime."
