Finn had known before Rachel had even started speaking, that she had some kind of speech planned for him. She just had this look she got. To be honest, it sort of scared him, so instead of sitting through it all, he latched onto 'Puck' and 'juvie' and agreed, thankfully making her happy and not having to really hear the rest. He felt bad that Puck was going to have to hear Rachel's lecture, which he had already heard her practice a few times, but hey, what could he do? That was just Rachel's way.
He was nervous walking into the juvenile detention center, but he stayed strong for his girlfriend and squeezed her hand when she reached for him. He smiled when she thanked him but didn't get a chance to say anything before she was reminding him of the 'good cop, bad cop' thing. "I know," he said, nodding. It totally made sense that she would be bad cop. She was a little scary about this stuff.
"Puckerman, you got visitors," said the guard. Puck was impressed. Two Tuesdays in a row? He wondered who it was. Usually if it was his family, he got, "Puckerman, your mom's here." But these were termed visitors. Maybe it was Kurt again?
He walked into the room, and his first reaction was excitement when he saw one Finn Hudson seated at the table, "Finny D!" he exclaimed, throwing it back old school to their duet on "Good Vibrations" the year before.
And that was when he got past the doorway and saw that Finn was not alone. Not only was he not alone... He was with Rachel Freakin' Berry. "Hey, Rachel," he said, his tone much more subdued.
Turning back to Finn, he tried to move the conversation in a direction that would work well with him. "What's up, dude? How's football going?"
Puck's excitement at seeing them was so great that she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows and smile in surprise. The name he'd used for Finn was ridiculous, but it was probably just another code of the brotherhood that she didn't know about. She'd have to ask Finn if Puck had a ridiculous nickname. Well one more ridiculous than Puck.
She realized a moment later that his excitement had been for Finn only and her smile faded at his lackluster greeting to her. She pressed her lips together and sat up a little straighter, prepared to launch into the reasons why they were there as soon as she was given the right opening.
She gave a small huff of disbelief when Puck's first question was about football. "Noah," she said, pulling her hand free of Finn's so that she could put it on the table. "Noah, you're in a juvenile detention facility and you want to know about football? His priorities were much more warped than she'd initially thought. "What about Glee Club?" After all there was no shortage of players on the football team.

Finn was about to answer Puck's question when Rachel spoke up and he closed his mouth again. He knew she was going to get her lecture in no matter what. She did have a point, though he didn't see how worrying about glee club while in juvie was really any better than worrying about football. "Football's good, dude. We miss you, though," he said truthfully. Puck was one of their best players.
