The first mwexplosion challenge is over, you can see the winners of the icontest and the banners for them here.

Our second challenge is to write a poem or lyrics by or about the characters/ship, for more details see this post. Deadline for entries is two weeks from today, Wednesday 9th July at 7pm GMT.

Voting is open for the mwexplosion Challenge 1: Rising icontest here. It closes on Tuesday 24th June, 6PM GMT.

Also a reminder, voting on Batch 2 of the Season 2 banner captions closes that evening too, at the slightly later time of 10PM GMT.

You can now vote on the captions for the second batch of S2 McKay/Weir banners here - poll open to all, not just those with LJ accounts. Voting ends 10PM GMT, Tuesday 24th June.

I'd like to announce mwexplosion, which has been created for the McKay/Weir novel(la) writing event soon to kick off, but is also going to have smaller contests in the meantime - starting with our first icontest, for episode 1x01-02 "Rising". Go here for Challenge 1 rules and submissions post.

For anyone interested in the proposed McKay/Weir NaNoWriMo-ish event, now dubbed MWexplosion as it is following the bigbang format, please take a look at the poll. We'd like to gage interest in the event and figure out if the rounds system will work for people, and if so, what rounds people are likely to take part in.

I've been pondering it and come up with a possible plan for allowing different times for entries as already I've bnoted some people want it in summer and others in fall.
