Oh, ouch.

I was also worried that this was going to be an unmarked death fic, but you handled it quite nicely. =) I'm not sure if I'm being clueless (quite possible!) or if things were left ambiguous on purpose, but it kind of adds weight to the whole thing, not knowing exactly what happened to Rodney.

Yeah if it is death fic, warning please, cos I dont like em! But is it? I dont think so. Possibly Rodney's been Wraithified or he's mentally ill?

Welcome to the community! I liked this very much. Loved the style in which it was written and that kept me guessing a while. Also loved the tone. Hope to see more from you.

(not that I mind, but some people might want you to put a warning for angst, just so they know they're not going to read a happy fic. Again, I think that's evident by the tone and, again, I actually enjoyed it very much. I may be wrong, but I don't think it's a death!fic, why Melanie's warnings and talk of first time? It's a hospital, or sanitarium, or something, right? Which makes John's reactions perfectly reasonable. Good job.)

Yah, spoiling the surprise can suck, but so can starting a fic, then realizing it is a no-go zone for the reader. :(
