Merlin finale

Merlin is a fandom where I have stayed on the sidelines. I watched all of Season One (thanks to mrs_leary's generosity), then sort of drifted off, watching the odd ep here and there, until the last season, where I watched almost all the episodes. The finale moved me to tears, which is pretty unusual for me. Not a trace of schmaltz anywhere. Just one memory

I hadn't seen any Merlin since S1, but watched the final two episodes with a friend the other day and thought the finale was excellent. Sad but very satisfying! We'd both seen The Hobbit a few days ealier and both enjoyed the Merlin finale more.
