Lovin' the moon from where you are :)

Yes, clouds, or trees for that matter, do make the moon look a whole lot better. I guess owning a super duper long zoom lense would help, to get right up to it kind of thing, but who can afford one of them!

Your photos are brilliant though....the moon certainly did look nice and bright! Perfect way to end your birthday, I'd say xx

The zoom is decent on my little Panasonic and the lens is great. I think having the point of reference (clouds or trees) is what makes all the difference. I would love to be able to take shots of just the moon, but am not sophisticated enough a photographer for that. But it's OK - I think I do alright and I LOVE that I'm back into it after too long a hiatus!

Thank you! I have been trying to figure out if I am sufficiently inspired by these to write something to go with them. They seem very literary to me. Poe, of course, comes to mind. :) What do you think?

OMG, totally! I love lunar poetry. I'm such a nerd that when I look at the moon I always think of the Apollo program. Perhaps the only good thing about the loooooooooooong winter is that the moon is always out when I take Penny outside to do her business (morning and night). I'd say the ratio of clear to cloudy nights is greater than 0.5. I don't stay out long since it's cold, but I always take a moment or two when the moon is at or near full on a clear night.

Just stunning photos, and I need to look at the moon, I mean really NEED. My sign is a ruled by the moon, (Cancer cusp) you and I are at the opposite ends of the spectrum. We both are affected by the moon though, and this one was a life changing influence, so thank you Terry it was cloudy here I missed it, so your photos helped. I got my look at the moon. Is that a bird in the first shot?

Oooh, I am so glad I gave you a dose of what you needed. Feel free to copy the pics and save them to your computer, or print them out, or do whatever you need with them. You must stay in touch with your life forces, my dear.

No, there's no bird. It was a bit of desperately clinging leaves, which was gone by the second shot. Off to a new adventure it went. :)
