Yes. I'm actually a member. It's many years since I went to The Oval, though. It's quite a long way from where I live, but the main reason is that one's such a long way from the action, it being a big ground, and with my poor eyesight I'm better off watching my cricket on TV.

I used to support Essex as a kid (while growing up in Oman), religiously checking the scorecards on the rare occasions that the local English daily carried them. But most of my support survived on the biennial trips to the UK our family made (usually during the summer) in which dad would buy The Times and I'd spend all day immersed in the back pages. I couldn't quite get my head around the level of statistical porn detail in the sports section, particularly for the football and cricket.
