*hugs* belated I know, but my laptop blew up and died in Vietnam (great country btw) a couple of weeks ago, so I haven't managed to do much online since then. Just trying to catch up with things now on a remote Indonesian island with really slow Internet. X

Aw thanks! :D I'm sorry I missed this comment earlier!! Better late than never. Sorry to hear about your laptop! I hate when that happens... around the same time my laptop's fan decided to die out on me as well, but hopefully if I replace it the laptop will continue to work.

I've always wanted to visit Vietnam... in fact I'm still holding out for a Hindu pilgrimage of South East Asia with my dad. I'm not particularly religious but I love my history and I like old temples. Dad's religious and loves his history too so I'm sure we'd both enjoy such a trip.

Whereabouts are you now? I saw some of your lovely pics on Instagram. :) Looks like you're visiting some quite stunning places and it would seem you're having a lovely time! How much longer will you be out there?

Right now I'm back in Bali, in Ubud which you would love if you like old temples. They are everywhere! Bali has a unique culture and style, but the architecture is somehow related to the Khmer culture in Cambodia, and there is also vaguely similar in Thailand, but different to most of what you see in India. Yes, you must definitely do that trip with your dad. He would find the history fascinating ( ... )

6 weeks of travelling is quite a lot actually especially if you were constantly on the move, even if you were relaxing lots in between. I can imagine it 'taking its toll'.

>Also too much beer was drunk
:) What beer were you drinking out there?

I always feel disoriented when I step away from the internet and news on my travels to Oman and India but you're absolutely right on the break from the gloom. Follow the news and it's drummed into you on a daily basis. Life always seems more cheerful without the news.

Blighty is pleased to have you back. Perhaps you could've brought some of the hotter weather though?
