I really like Cook, but I can't imagine he'll finish up with an average of over 55. I think he could break 50, though.

Fair point. I don't know if the stats back it up but you hear batsmen talk about peaking between the age of 27-31, so who knows?

:D That's always been one of my favourite pictures. Thanks for linking to it! I've always wondered if he ended up drinking that pint because he's never been much of a boozer (and he was only 18 or 19 when he signed for Yorkshire). First foreigner to play for them and first international cricketer to be given out by the third umpire, both in 1992!
