New Beginnings, Old Connections

Today was the first day of my internship, and if it's anything to go by, I cannae wait to cut my teeth in the big bad world of commercial law. The guy who got me the internship is one of the two partners at the firm. He is an expert in dispute resolution and switched to this firm only in June. He's been working in Oman since 1999. Sounds absolutely amazing and SO perfect for you!

That's incredible - running into people like that! Especially when there's that other side of the world element involved. I ran into two Aussies I went to two different schools with at the same party, NYE London 2004, one who I hadn't seen for about 5 years. That was pretty insane, especially since the other had actually moved to London and changed her name! Crazy!

I think it's mostly to do with her crazy mother, whom I had a few bizarre encounters with during our years at school together, just downright weird really. Still, she seems to be loving her new life which is the main thing!
