Half-way there!

I'm done with midterms! It is a relief, but I am certainly not looking forward to my results. I don't think I did terrible in any of them but I could certainly have done better. That's always going to be the case though, so yeh, whateva. Que sera, sera ( Read more... )

London can be gloomy, but when the sun shines there it's so amazing. London is pretty amazing. How I miss it. I arrived in winter, the sun would set at 3.30 and it was freezing at first, but when I got used to it, it was ok. It was weird going to London from boiling hot Sydney. It snowed almost every day in Feburary, the locals complained, but I was pratically dancing in the streets in joy. It is certainly different to Oman and India, but possibly not all that different to Canada! It could be dark for a few days, with light outside, but not sunshine. I don't know how better to explain it, but I loved it.

I wonder if you would say the same thing after a few years there of that kinda weather though! ;) Yeh my dad used to tell me how he would not see the sun for several months during the winter because he'd get to the hospital @ 6am and come back home in the late-evening by which time the sun had already set and that included many days of bright sunshine.

The temperatures don't bother me at all because after spending 3 winters in Montreal and a 4th coming right up, it can only get better in London.

Aside from the weather I think I will love it in London too!

Well, Sydney has fantastic weather, but I've got hayfever all year round, as I'm allergic to my city, whereas I didn't sneeze once in London, so really, I'd be better off living there.

Besides, you tend to get used to the rhythm of a city, especially the weather.
