It is a sad day as Nomar Garciaparra gets traded from the Boston Red Sox. He was one of the most important figures in Red Sox team history in my opinion, and my favorite player on the current team. Barring injury I feel he will be in the baseball hall of fame someday. It looks to me like we plan to get someone big through waivers in August because

it's not a nightmare in the sense that the Cubs will now win (i'm fairly certain that the 10.5 game lead will not be breached), but it is in the sense that now my former favorite sox player is on the cards hated rivals. do i have to hate him now? and start pronouncing his name with the R?
