This video made me half laugh and half stare at my screen in disbelief, because it was so Friday Night Lights.

And... I'm still pissed about Shanna. I really am. I think she could have been amazing on Glee. But... I have to admit I didn't like her LCP. She butchered the lyrics, and it should have been a better showcase song for her than it was. It was like she paid no attention to the meaning of the words. OTOH, I loved her in the video, so what do I know? I hope she makes it in Nashville, though.

It's weird, that Eye of the Tiger week really bummed me out about the whole show. I hated that whole thing. Issues, I have them!

It was completely FNL! (Even though the Panthers thing was apparently a nod to Coach Beiste and not FNL, but I choose to interpret it differently.) But I suppose, during actability week, what better show to try to imitate?

Shanna's LCP was not up to standards, it's true. She sounded great, but the random fist-pumping didn't sell it; it was almost as much of a train wreck as Michael's "Brick" last week.

I haven't gotten to S2 yet, but gah, there was some great stuff in S1. John taking out Cameron's chip! Derek taking John for ice cream to see his dad play catch as a toddler! Show. ♥
