I think that too! I don't want to believe he was brought in to be another villain, he can't be a FT character, and he can't just be Emma's new love interest. So the fact that he's a writer who went to that town where allegedly nobody ever goes to...Yeah I think he's like a Grimm descendant or something! :P And he's got to have some magic of his own, I suppose.
