Current home 3-d technology relies on LCD shutter glasses synched with a TV with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The movies will fit on a Blu-Ray disc and can be viewed in 3-d or regular modes. I don't know if any are consumer-available yet, but I'm pretty sure they're starting to show this stuff off at electronics shows.

I absolutely could not believe it when I heard about "unobtanium" in the movie. Could. Not. Believe. This is what happens when writers don't understand something. I was taught by my freshman year creative writing prof to know my stuff before writing a story. If you have your character in a 1970 Aston Martin convertible, you'd better make sure AM made a convertible in that year. Etc. "Unobtanium" has a known meaning in a critical mass of population, and that was just ignored. Inexcusable.
