Rosa had been out just before the sun came up to go and look for a job.

She'd already been to several small places that insisted she neede to speak language 'x' or that her English was not good enough, although she liked to think it was quite good.

Right now she is toying with her antique watch and standing a bit nervously at the door of the office she'd seen when she stepped inside of the building with the 'Secretary wanted' sign.

She didn't know too much about being a secretary, but it didn't seem like a terribly hard job. After a little more stalling, she peeks her head into the door and blinks pretty gold eyes at the man inside.

"H-hello?"

He's still bored. He's taking calls for himself, having to call his own clients. He shouldn't have to do shit like that.

And then there's a girl at the door. A kid. So he looks up, not really angry, but the words come out kind of harsh, "Yeah, what?"

Oh, so he's like that.

At least she's used to the sort of gruffness - he just sounds annoyed.

"Your sign says you are looking for .." what was the proper use, again... "..a secretary." She doesn't have the sense to flash him a 'winning' smile - too nervous for that.

So she smiles timidly.

Great, he made the kid nervous. There was a time when he wouldn't care, but that was at least five years ago.

He puts the pen down, and raises an eyebrow at her.

"Yeah, it does. What makes you think I'd want to hire a kid to do a woman's job?"
