Hi everybody! I'm on opiates!!! I wound up getting injured today in the most idiotic non-voluntary (as in "I wasn't drinking, I wasn't horsing around, and at no time did I say to anyone 'Hey, y'all, watch this'") ways possible.

( Long story short: I had muscles tensed at eXACTly the wrong time when an elevator stopped moving far too quickly for the way I was standing and have a spasm in the middle of my back, it's treated, and I'm going to be fine )

sorry to hear that man, hope you feel 100% again .... SOON!

i really hate stupid injuries like, especially when there's nothing obviously visible ....

last week my foot was "jammed" .... hurt like a ratfucksonofabitch .... couldn't walk ... still had to work .... and one foot was bigger than the other .... so when people asked why i was limping .... i wasn't sure what to say ..... chiropractor (he's my saint!) pushed the bone that was out of place back in ... and in almost 30 mins. it was back to normal .....

hope that doesn't happen again to you, it's just agonizing pain that one can do without

i'm so sorry! i don't have time to read the longer story (that'll be tonight when i'm not helping john wiht the pipes...) but the short version - eeeks. yeah, i've done "i need to give people a better excuse/reason for this than what really happened" accidents, too.

yeah, i guess it is good thing we didn't shoot up with herion this weekend. good grief - what does that say about the people they have working for them that they are that concerned about drug testing. actually, what does that say about THEM. usually thats some kind of projection, right?

anyway - again i'm glad you are mostly ok and i hope you are all the way ok very very soon.
(and that you pass your drug test ;)

It would have been a cooler story if you were fighting off illusory aliens in the elevator at the same time. But I guess we can't have everything. :)

And this time, as with DragonCon, I can say with confidence that "there were plenty of aliens about" and that they weren't illusory. ;)

But if I were gonna fight anybody, it'd be that unfortunate electrician. ;)

Well, it's not like you KNEW the elevator was going to stop suddenly. That's why they call them accidents. =o) Don't feel bad, feel better!!
