I needed to mow today, so when I got home from work I started to do that. While mowing down some of the weeds that are growing in the plot that has no grass due to grubs last year I saw something and stopped the mower. 'Twas a ToadFrogThing. I once disturbed a rabbit nest in my back yard while mowing. It was just a shallow scrape, lined with grey fur, in the middle of a flat spot, though in the shade. No adults were there at the time, but the four babies scattered in all directions as I approached. Never saw them again.

Glad you were able to herd vs puree.

Do I understand that that patch is recovering?

Me Too! I'm still not quite over the time I didn't manage to herd.

Recovering? Well, there's moss, and cracked dirt, and some tall unidentified weeds thatI keep whacking down... not much grass. Might be cool to put a flower garden in there too. :-} But I don't want to displace the moss.
