I've updated my LJ layout and I'm finally happy with it. I'm thinking of getting a paid account again to get rid of the darn ads. Speaking of, when did this place get those stupid Facebook type games? Ugh.... I can't get away from them ( Read more... )

I hate facebook anymore. I use it now to talk to my young cousins and a couple of friends from highchool - the ones who didn't morph into people I don't recognize (like Palin supporters, what the hell?). One of them emailed me a thesis on how Obama is a Kenyan and even if he isn't, he's an illegitimate president. I wanted to cry. Another ranted to me about how evolution is a scam. Ditto.

Oh Tx, how I've missed you! It doesn't matter that Obama is actually a good president or that the theory of evolution has made tremendous advancements to medicine and saved countless lives. They are anti-Jesus and therefore the work of SATAN!

Not very long ago. I'm studiously ignoring them. (Don't have a Facebook, don't want one.)

As for Who fic, then I can rec you a metric ton (any preferences?), but if you want something where you're assured of quality let me point you towards calufrax - it's a reccing comm for The Teaspoon (a dedicated Who fic archive), and every week a different person recs some of their favourite stories (and this week it's ME!). It's an absolute goldmine, and very searchable (their tags are very extensive), so if you want the cream of the crop, that's your best bet.

I'm not on FB but I don't like or need the games on LJ so I simply ignore it.
Not sure since when we have the games here, it was in a news post one day and I thought "Huh...."

LJ is LJ, FB is FB - they should stop and try to become FB.
