Just found out that the Moonlight Margarita Run is $60 for both the run and the party. Supposedly the party is worth it, and I certainly want to support the Town Lake Trail Foundation, but ... damn. Maybe I'll just do the race ($30) and do a birthday dinner somewhere else after. Or maybe there are better ways to spend my birthday.

Oh no! You have to at least do the race, because I've already said I'm doing it and convinced three of my friends to do the race too! Margaritas can be had at other venues, although probably not with the mariachi band to serenade you. ;)

Well, I'm sure I can be convinced to do it (the race or both race and party) if others are into it! I was afraid the price would be too much for anyone to be interested and I'd end up drinking alone on my birthday.

I am a TLTF supporter and I can tell you you wont be drinking alone if you can stay for the party. It does help out the cause. This is their big fundraiser. If you use the new restroom near the Milago condos, that is courtesy of past-race and party proceeds.
