my birthday is (too) fast approaching (it's almost august, y'all). things i have flirted with the idea of buying for myself: pawsox playoff tickets, a bruins 12-game pack, a person-sized tv, an ice cream maker, all the books, concert tickets, pretty shoes, a life.

Well, yes, but that's my regular, every day, reaction to Beckett (though, god, his arms in that picture). Adding the puppy only added the whole "wanting a small furry pet" dimension.

Dude, is there any "My Boys" fic at all? Gen. or otherwise? (Also, did you pick up "in all the land" from PJ? Because I did. There's a scene or something where she says something like, "And it's the worst idea in all the land," and now I say things like that all the time. Can't help it.

Oh, and the "Watchmen" trailer looked ... good? I've only read, like, the first 20 pages of a giant "Watchmen" book my friend Pavan had, but it was weird, and I liked it, and I think I generally like those kinds of movies, so I'm excited to see it.

i do not know if there is any "my boys" fic, but there should be. stat. all the fic in the land, even. (i only recently discovered/mainlined the series, so i'm completely in the dark about such things.) (and, man, i need an icon, too.)

as for watchmen, i love the book and i'm trying not to get too excited about the movie because it could very well be horrible and no good and break my heart and all that. but the trailer looked good (i'm only sad i didn't get to see it on a big screen).

seriously. i mean, we got some trailer for a movie i can't remember because it was trying so hard to give me epilepsy, which was a total disappointment.

and thanks. i mean, i guess i knew that if she was emailing me, rather than calling/having someone call, it was fine? but i still freaked out at the "i went to the er" bit.
