I'm not sure if we have graduate schools, actually! Or what the equivalent might be?
After we finish Grade 12 here, we go to a university for 3+ years to get a bachelor's degree (mine was 4 years, because it's two degrees combined). You can then stay another year to do a degree with "honours"... and if you're really keen you can stay another 3 years to get a PhD :) Does that sound kinda similar? I remember you saying that ppl tend to do 2-3(?) years at college in the US, and then go to a graduate school?

Graduate school is anything beyond a Bachelor's degree (B.A). So in the U.S. (unlike England), you graduate high school, then can go straight to university for 4 yrs (I'm staying 1 extra to double major) to get your B.A. Beyond that, to get a graduate degree: Master's is ~ 2 yrs, law is ~ 3 yr's, PhD is many, many yr's (!), etc.
