So.

I got my assignment for the Vampentine Challenge today, and went to look for vampire lore in the HP universe. And of course there's nothing there except for them being pale and gaunt and based in Romania, like all the Draculean cliches. *stomps her foot* But the search wasn't completely useless:p

From HPL:

Lestoat, Amarillo. Vampire. America ( ( Read more... )

Wahhhh but I love Lestat! And Louis. And Armand. And Daniel.

*cough*

Hmm, I seem to forget Lestat's last name. de Lionhart? *stabs in the dark*

Okay, random lurker going away now...

Hey! Come back! No lurking allowed! *g*

I pretty much love them too, but AR's writing gets old really fast. Plus - funny!

du Lioncourt. See? *g*

Oh! Lioncourt!

Well my heart belongs to Louis, so I only remember his surname (de Pointe du Lac) X-D
I actually drew him for my art assignment in hmm...9th grade or so.

I was a devoted AR fangirl until Memnoch the Devil :-/ I still read The Vampire Armand because YAYZ NOT DEAD!111 but it's just...bleh.

I think one reader put it as AR going inexplicably all Catholic on us.

So who's your fav. character?

:)

My favourite used to be Lestat, predictably enough. I think he still is, but - the way he was up until and including Tale of the Body Thief. She lost the feel of him(and the rest of her characters[and her marbles...]) somewhere around that time, in my opinion. Which is a pity, because they all had so much potential. The Vampire Armand was good, but it could have been SO MUCH better.

I don't like Anne Rice at all, actually - she's an utter idiot when it comes to dealing with her fanbase. I suppose I got used to authors who love their fans(must've been spoiled by JKR's attitude, lol). Her head just got all bloated with self-importance. It's not only that she goes all Catholic on us(and what's up with that? She established her whole vampiric myth as non-Christian!) - you know she doesn't let anyone edit her stuff anymore? Which is silly, and immature, and petty - just like her stupid ban on fanfiction. *eyeroll*
