lol, i hadn't actually intended to trivalise my 2 years study in japan. i mean, for all the things my school did for me, and to the wonderful and generous people whom i met in japan, i could never say enough thanks and would forever be indebted to them. but, i kinda ran out of stamina writing out all this after such a long entry... and i was thinking that anyone reading my blog would probably be sick of seeing my endless thanks and all that stuff about my my enjoyment in learning and doing 3d graphics by now. :p ( ... )

good that you had a fun happy end to your experience in japan. (i was too cheapskate and wore a suit for graduation...and i was the best in my class but not all the "best"s got to go onstage for mine too)

think its gd tt you decided that it was a gd thing you came, because nothing can become a waste of money/time, because im sure you learnt sth tt you wouldnt have been able to while surrounded by family and friends in spore.

haha, actually i was cheapskate also lah. i intended to wear suit, all the way until one week before my grad and they told me i was going on stage. and then i started to 心痒痒 and i told an admin teacher in my office about regretting not renting a hakama. and it was because of her and my very nice 管理员 who offered to lent me their kimono that i ended up wearing a hakama. *forever indebted to them TwT*

and honestly, i don't think i was really the best lah... i suspect they let me go up on stage only because my principal and office really likes me, the pioneer foreign student who is so good at doing free PR for them. (but oh well, i did put in effort to talk to my teachers... more than to my classmates... orz)

yup, did learn lots of things there. totally enjoyed learning CG. anyway, how are your plans like now?

Oh wow, I thought almost all Japanese girls would own at least 1 kimono. At least a plain one. How about a Yukata? Those should be more common?

haha, that'z what i had used to think too, but nope. not all Japanese women own kimonos. Yukata is definitely much more common and affortable but not all Japanese women own them either. While i was in Japan most of my girl classmates don't own them either. some of used to wear children size yukatas when they were children, but after the grew out of them, they didn't bother to buy new ones. :p
you should check out how children's yukatas look like~ instead of obis, they wear this beautiful scarf-like thing around their waist and itz really pretty!!!
