Greetings, Earthlings!

It's been a very busy week or so. Dar's daughter M is starting at the University of Guelph this week, and we spent a lot of last week helping her get ready and then moving her into her new apartment. She's renting a basement bedroom/bathroom set-up from the woman who owns the condo. It's a nice place, and it's close to a lot of things to which she' ( Read more... )

I really, really not psyched about the new tv season. There are a few shows I'm planning to try, but...I realized there are almost no full-season shows left that I watch, and only one of those shows (Community) I actually care about. I love a couple of USA shows, a couple Syphy shows (one of which was just canceled), and one TNT show. And, since they're all cable shows, none of them are starting up right away. Oh, and Walking Dead, but that's not full season either.

Meh. :(

Partly it's in my head, I think. My brain tells me that it's fall, so interesting new shows should be starting and old ones coming back, but that's no longer reality. The new reality is that shows can start any time during the year, but my brain just doesn't seem to be wrapping itself around that reality very well, so it's giving me the blahs. And really, I've been wondering for years why more shows don't do 13-episode seasons, since full seasons often just end up producing a higher percentage of meh episodes, so why am I sad or disappointed now that I'm getting my wish?

My brain is sleepy and weird. Hi.

Yeah, I still haven't adjusted to the roll-em-out-whenever schedule of the new shows. I also miss a lot of them because I lose track of when they're premiering. Here in Canada we don't USA or TNT or SyFy of FX or CW, so that further complicates matters; Canadian stations may pick up some of their shows, but on their own damn schedules. It's crazy making.

Hi, back at ya :)

Sorry about your asthma, the air quality post hurricane was *wonderful* here. Don't know how you do it w/o allergy meds.

Well, I use a prescription corticosteroid inhaler, and I'm just restarting a prescription corticosteroid nasal spray. Bring out the big guns, I say! The weather here has been cold and damp, and that's not helping.

I hope things are settling down for you. It must be kind of hellish to come down off of all that adrenaline that went into hosting your faire.
