Omg Amber...Mike Capuzzo actually does workshops for my MFA program residency and I've taken one with him, and you remember that Victorian detective story I kept talking about writing and you were all ERMAHGERD YAY? I started writing some of it and gave him the first ten pages for his workshop and he really liked it.
Actually he was talking about the Murder Room at the time, I should check it out, yes?
You might like Carole Nelson Douglas' Irene Adler series if you're in mood for murder, 19th century, and Britain.

"Murder Room" was fun, sometimes a little wandering, but I enjoyed it. It has really interesting "characters" and a lot of true crime-y goodness. I think you find it a good time.
