Badminton is a better sport than I let on. A man almost has to be envious about the fluid grace that flows into each move, the force and precision it takes to smash a lightweight bundle of feathers into the face of your opponent with enough force to break their nose. But... Yamazaki, you can't kill a man with a badminton racket, so I will kill ( Read more... )

But I don't really like the idea of killing people.

I guess I'll have to practice in secret. Glad you understand the beauty of the sport.

That's part of being a member of the Shinsengumi. No one likes their path of violence, but it's their job to accept it!

...oi. It'll be worse if I catch you in secret!

Is being a whipping boy, a butt-shaver and a crossdresser also part of being a member of the Shinsengumi? Are you sure you don't like it? You seem to enjoy beating me up a lot.

...Th-- that's not fair.

That's part of supporting Kondo-san so that he can lead the Shinsengumi. You have a problem with that? I have an answer, and it's sharp!

Heh. What's supposed to be fair?

Of course you can kill a man with a badminton racquet.

... why I felt it necessary to inform you of this is beyond me just at the moment.

Eh?

There's no point in using it as a weapon. It's weak, it will break under a sword.

Not if it's properly reinforced. This is of course assuming the wielder has the talent and opportunity to make the appropriate modifications.

What kind of idiot would reinforce a badminton racket to be a weapon?

That's what the sword is for! It is a strong, honourable weapon!

Heh. Don't cry, it would be too reminiscent of the beautiful ending scene of Fellowship of the Short Fling... beautiful scene... tear-jerker.

Hey, I don't wanna hear that from you!!! Mayo's kinda sweet!!!

And you know, no one gets anywhere in this age by being forceful. If you're calmer about things and a bit more flexible, chances are, you'll be able to slip right through the problems.

Mayo brings out the subtle tart flavours in every dish, not the sickening sweetness!

Heh, that carefree attitude again. Problems you slip out of don't disappear.

Hey, strawberry milk is the perfect drink for every dish!!!

And I never said anything about leaving problems behind. But they're easier to deal with once you get past them and can turn around.
