I was just wondering yesterday when we see more of this!! Thanks for a lovely tale. I really enjoyed it, as always. Your grasp of all the various mythologies simply amazes me.

This was fabulous. The combination of myth and religion and ritual and sacrifice came together so flawlessly. The scene in the kiva was tangible. I just really enjoyed this.

I think, though, that Anubis was represented as a jackal-headed god. Both Ra and Horus were represented with hawk or falcon heads. Please point me to the information regarding a hawk-headed representation of Anubis. All things Egyptian interest me greatly and I'm curious about the many representations of the ancient gods and goddesses. I know that several of them have more than one representation.

I would also be very much inclined to read more in this series, if you chose to write it. I love your style of writing and it's very clear how much thought and care you put into your fic.

Thank you for sharing this. I look forward to reading more. :-)

This is what I get for writing and posting when I'm tired. You are, of course correct. It is Horus, (and Osiris) excuse me while I try to fix this *g*

Wow. I'm in awe. That was magical, a beautiful ending to an epic story.

I think the concepts of heaven and hell in many ways boil down to a single set of points; heaven is that which we desire to be good and true and hell is what we desire not at all and abhor, and either of those two states can be fixed or fluid.

Yes. 'Hell' as a pit of fire and 'Heaven' as a gold-covered-streets place of white...clouds or whatever are both too weird, too rigid and too abstract all at once. Neither has any resonance with me.

I think this ends perfectly. It shows us what Dean will be enduring, and previous parts hinted at what Sam is enduring. And the kachina seemed watchful and knowing without being malicious or smug, and that's always good.

Excellent, heartbreaking, lovely story, so pleased to see it come to a satisfactory conclusion.

I loved your story! the imagery, the depth of love Sam and Dean feel for each other, the settings, imagery, and everything else about this story really worked for me.
