For me the whole story comes down to Draco being forced to stop hiding and avoiding the issue and make his choice. So everything actually was a build up to that final scene when he has to finally look into himself and decide what he wants. So yeah, I'm glad you liked it!

I would like to write a sequel to this sometime. (I consider my other Neville/Draco, Past, Present, Future to be a prequel) Unfortunately I am so preoccupied with my messed up RL at the moment that it will be a long while before I manage to do it.

I'm a huge fan of Neville/Draco and I had ear-marked this story to read one day. I'm so happy I finally did. It's an amazing little fic you have here. You actually got me to tear up towards the end. I really felt terrible for Draco's situation and his fears that he couldn't keep both his love and his family. I think that's a sentiment a lot of queer people can relate to, and that you captured it perfectly.
Thank you for writing/sharing! I really enjoyed this one.

Furthermore, I adore and applaud how you handled Draco and what he was going through. You made my heart break for him. He's now fast becoming another character I'm intrigued with and may well love very soon.
And then there's Neville... my dearest most wonderful Neville. You treated him very well and handled his side beautifully. And Luna's friendship? BRILLIANCE. I've always seen them as great friends- like they have this unique bond.
Bravisimo Mayfly!

When I begun writing this, I realised I hadn't written nearly enough strong female characters so I set out to rectify it. Narcissa and Luna have long been favourites of mine, but I grew to love Augusta too while writing this. I couldn't help but make the women a bit more perceptive and intelligent than the boys... (And people don't write nearly as much Luna-Neville friendship as they should. It truly is a shame!)
I think it's easy to see that Draco is my favourite character, he is so deliciously flawed and conflicted and grey. He's not unequivocally good and honest like dear Neville (or Harry). And that's why I like pairing them, I think they balance out nicely.

Anyway, back to the story, I do love your Draco for that reason! I love characters that are flawed and marinated in shades of grey, and you're totally right, they do have a very unique complementary and balancing sort of relationship. It's quite beautiful, actually.
p.s. Would it be all right if I humbly request friendsies? You seem like a lovely person and it looks to me like we'll have many things to talk about and shared interests and such. :-)

Unfortunately I am in the middle of a big upheaval at the moment (I'm getting ready to emmigrate to the UK from Greece), so I will be really bad at responding and generally being active until things settle down again.
