It was indeed a proper plague of a year and I'm glad everyone I loved made it through, even if a tad worse for wear. I'm very happy your mother is better, that's a good sign and I hope she properly recovers ASAP.
Those sound like good resolutions, mine are a bit in the same department with slight variations.
So, will you be celebrating the New Year's eve at your parents place or have you got other plans!
