Gosh, we love the Gherkin (we call it the pine cone chez Birds) and I am very excited about this series as we really get enthused about the London skyline and the iconic pieces of architecture. I love what you have done with this, the boldness of it. Personally I adore linocuts. I love the roughness but it's not rough, really, is it, it can be precise and controlled, too: for instance, you've captured the curves here beautifully. What I think linocuts are is powerful, and authentic. I really savour the realness of them compared to some art which is very slick.
Pine cone? It does look more like a pine cone, but gherkin is so much more fun! I'm pretty excited about doing this series too, I'm annoyed I have so many other pressing things to do that the rest will have to wait till I have more time. Feel free to propose buildings! I want to do tall iconic London buildings. Preferably recent ones. Preferably with funny nicknames. I have found five to do in total so far.
Things like linocuts look best when you see the actual thing, because you can see the grain of the paper and the texture of the ink. But in a digital virtual world they are a lot of time and trouble for something that I could have done in photoshop for a fraction of the time. And when I look at what sort of prints sell on etsy, I feel like I'm wasting my time. But art has to be primarily something you enjoy. That's why we all die poor.
Babe that looks absolutely fantastic!!! You even managed to creat depth and the feeling of streets and clouds and overall city life. This is brilliant! I love it!

Well, my children's favourite is the Shard. I'm sure you had that on your list! My favourite is St Paul's.
