So Thatcher died yesterday and the reporters are still having a field day with it and will be for a while longer by the looks of it. I heard they had a party in Brixton. I didn't like her either, but, bad taste much

A party is really bad taste. I do believe that the speaking ill of the dead-rule is an odd one, but the woman hasn't been in office for what, 20 years or so, and was old and ill for a long time before she died. Celebrating her death just seems petty and down right vulgar.

Exactly. It would have been more understandable if she were in office at the moment. (Still bad taste, but more comprehensible.)
