So I read the third Artemis Fowl book. It looks like I'm going to eventually read them all.

I've read 3 or 4 of the Artemis Fowl books. I absolutely adored them, they were clever and fun. As well as the consciousness growth of Artemis, as you mentioned.

Sadly I have the memory of a sieve with very large holes, I can't remember what happens in each book. I did very much enjoy them.

Well while they are very fun and enjoyable, they are hardly the sort of life-alteringly brilliant books that you never forget.

On the up side, this means you can read them again!

Aw, man. I remember loving the series as a teen! It's been a while since I've read them though. I stopped at The Time Paradox and I can't remember what happened now! I should pick it up again someday. :)

They are lots of fun! I feel slightly embarrassed reading a children's book on tube, but what the hell, I do all my reading on public transport.
