Ken rubbed his eyes, sitting up. Okay, the multiverse? It was playin at trick on him, wasn't it. This wasn't where he went to bed, nor where he wanted to wake up. He glanced around the room. It still seemed like Mayfield.

"Where... Where am I?"

"Hey there!" Goku sat there with a smile on his face.

"So, you don't got any idea of where we are either, huh?"

"What d'you mean?" Ken looked at him curiously. He wasn't quite sure he recognized Goku. "We're still in Mayfield, at least, right?" He reasoned there was no way they were back home, and he sure hoped he wasn't somewhere completely new.

"I dunno... I was still on the spaceship only a day or two ago..." he replied.

"The Earth's gonna explode if we don't get the Dragon Balls on time..."

Karol awoke to see... a very bland ceiling above him. Well, not that this was particularly shocking--after all, he'd been in Mayfield a few days and was starting to get used to his bland surroundings.

The problem was that this wasn't his usual bland ceiling.

He sat up and looked around at what appeared to be a large playpen fencing him into an even larger room. As waking up in the middle of strange rooms wasn't really his forte, he verbalized the first coherent thought that came to mind.

"...huh?"

Ion wasn't content with his situation at all.

As if it wasn't bad enough his fits of bloody coughing had returned, Arietta no longer responded to him, and it seemed as though his new family was changing every day. There was no semblance of normalcy here, and it was starting to grate on Ion's nerves. The town had again thrown him for a loop, and he hated not being in control.

Somehow, this dopey kid's yawned, '...huh?' was the last straw. He looked at him with only a little bit of contempt, vaguely wondering how best to destroy him with minimum effort without the aid of Daathic Artes.

Managing to pathetically refocus his attention, Karol shook his head to wake himself up properly, then took a good look around.

"Hey, this isn't even the same house! I--"

He was then struck by a creepy sensation, the kind one generally gets when one realizes one is being creepily glared at from behind. He whirled around, instinctively moving to clutch the handle of his ax and instead finding nothing. He yelped the heightened feeling of insecurity this gave him, and came face to face with...

...a normal boy.

He sighed. "Wow, don't scare me like that. I thought you were a monster or something."

"No such thing exists here," Ion commented flatly.

He could already tell how naive this kid was. His guard was already down. Trash. Nothing but trash.

Unfortunately there wasn't much of anything that could use as a weapon in the general vicinity, without too much physical strain being put on him, and subsequently setting him off into a fit of coughing. It seemed as though he was going to have to put up with this kid for a while longer.

Sealand, who had already been in Mayfield for quite a while, knew in the back of his mind that he really shouldn't be surprised. After seeing Christmas and the "famine", he should have known that this place could do anything it wanted to him. But Sealand is Sealand, and in the same way that he was convinced that Mayfield belongs to him, he was also convinced that the mayor and the police chief won't do anything bad to him.

"Alright, everybody! Since I've already been here for nearly two months now, you can consider me your senior and listen to me!" Sealand said, jumping up and scanning the room, sure the no one would dare question his authority. He is the great nation of Sealand, after all!

"Alright, everybody! Since I've been here even longer than Sealand, you can consider me your god and pay homage to me! My first order is to listen to Sealand cause I'm darned if I know what's going on at all."

Palom sat down quietly after he finished his announcement and glanced around the room for Porom, sure that a slap was coming in his direction at some point.

Palom had been there longer then he had? Well, at least he was listening to Sealand, who had no idea what was going either, but just really liked attention. In fact, the only thing Sealand was certain of was that he was in a daycare. Which made no sense, because usually the town let him do whatever he wanted after school.

"Hey, guy, do you know what's going on here?"

"And I've been here the longest." Relm declared with a withering glare at Palom. "No one listen to this idiot, he has no idea what he's talking about! Third-rate mages should keep their traps shut!"

Still glaring, she looked around the room at all the kids and pets. Not an adult in sight, huh? Normally this would be cause for celebration, but in this place it could only mean something bad. "Where are we, anyway?"

Remilia was not amused. At all. This was annoying and beneath her dignity and she wanted to leave but she couldn't.

Thus, she seated herself with a resigned sigh and looked around to see who she could mess with to pass the time.

It was so far below Rika's dignity as well... To some degree. Perhaps "Furude Rika" would all right with spending time with a daycare. She would probably laugh and play games and have an all-around good time... But "Furuderika Bernkastel" did not quite enjoy being thrown down to this childish level. Upon spotting Remilia the blunette picked herself up off the floor and walked over, since at least Remilia was likely to understand she was not a mere child.

"You too, huh? I'm guessing that if you're stuck here there's no escape?" She asked in a quiet, low voice. She didn't want the annoying drones to overhear.

"The damn place loops around," Remilia replied with a grunt.

"How annoying." Rika sighed and looked to the timeless clock. Not being able to watch time pass made the little girl quite anxious. "At least those drones have the sense to not make too much of a pain out of themselves."

Well this was new...Ai woke up to discover that not only was she still not back but she appeared to be in some sort of room filled with children.

Moving into a sitting position Ai started to gaze around the room. Not really sure what she was looking for.
