Grady had told them not to vote. This, of course, meant that he immediately dropped everything he was doing to bound towards the polling place across the street. It was just a little rain, anyway. It wasn't like being out for a minute could possibly hurt any. He was, in fact, so sure of this that he hadn't even bothered to tell Mia or Canada where he was going.
It was about five seconds later that his umbrella gave up the ghost and melted. Palom flinched as the drops of acid struck him. They burned! Since when did rain burn?! Thinking quickly, the young mage flung his arms out and shot off a quick incantation, causing a dome of fire to surround him. With any luck, this would keep him safe from the fiery rain. It also had the side-effect, however, of reducing visibility, and he failed to see the drones gathered in front of the house across the street . . .
These are some great candidates. Their old useless mayor or the psychotic mailman. Mammon floated back and forth in front of one of the posters holding a garbage can lid over his head trying to decide if it was worth voting with choices like these. Would he even be allowed to vote? This place's reaction toward him and other children changed all the time.
His thoughts were interrupted when he spotted a fireball charging toward the house out of the corner of his eye. "That's new," he muttered to himself. It looked like it planned on heading right past the drones glaring out front. Curious, he flew after it. Best to let whatever it was test the house first so he could get a better look inside.
[Aigis isn't bothered very much by the acid rain. She has, however, donned some clothes for this outing, to make sure that she doesn't get too very damaged by the rain (not that she knew it was acidic 8|).
The drones don't bother her much, either, having Six-Shot ready just in case one should attack her (though she's very, very careful to not let anyone see in case she needs to use it, and she refuses to make any fatal shots), and if worse comes to worse, she's got her summon sequence back.
Since the new milkman-mayor has been elected, her life has gone totally and completely downhill. From bad to worse. Three friends of hers were gone, now, and maybe... maybe bringing the old mayor back would bring them back too...
It's worth a shot.
Aigis uses her super-stalkers skills to enter the house, and votes for the Mayor.]
[This town's version of democracy may be an absolute sham and Fate was well aware, but she also knew playing along by a captor's rules is sometimes the better option. Picking and choosing your fights was something ingrained into her mind from her years of being an Enforcer.
She did what she thought was best in the circumstances and went to 1444 Mitchel Road to vote; the acid rain was unimportant, since the limited shield magic Bardiche and herself possessed shielded them from the rain. She kept Bardiche in brooch form to minimize suspicion, but she was ready to have him transform into a poleaxe if the suspicious drones assaulted either herself or someone else.
Between her spy-like Enforcer skills, Fate attempts to enter the house to cast a vote for Mayor.]
[Ky hated being stuck with these two choices, but if it was a choice between the old mayor and the milkman, there was no question in his mind who he'd vote for. He sprints through the street, taking cover from the acid rain under a cooking tray, to the nearest poll house, drops into one of the booths, and casts a vote for The Mayor.]

But they're here, so might as well vote, right?]
I'm probably going to regret this.
[Tifa votes for the Mayor.]
