Where: 625 Topper Street
What: BLU Sniper has been stockpiling his basement with canned food since the alien ship crash landed. Call him paranoid but he likes to be prepared. While he doesn't have a mass of weapons down there (just his rifle with only 13 shots left in it) he does have food and a meager supply of medical things. He's opening his basement VERY BRIEFLY for anyone who wants to hide from reavers flesh eaters.
There's a thread for Day 1 and Day 2, and also one specifically for reinforcing the basement since it's pretty much a hole in the ground that doesn't have much of a door anymore. Tag away!
Story:Even before the cannibals had shown up Sniper had been feeling uncomfortable with the whole situation. Of course it would be hard to be comfortable with everything suddenly looking like a nuclear war zone, but this was Mayfield. Who knew if they'd be attacked by radioactive mutants or giant turkeys who threw cornucopias at them. Sometimes the town was festive like that.
His basement had miraculously survived along with his stockpile of food. Still, he was kicking himself for having not had the forethought to also have a cache of weapons handy. But it would have to do. Especially once the cannibals had shown up. The BLU was a mercenary, true, but his specialty was lying in wait and taking down people one by one. He wasn't very good at hand to hand combat and he was even worse when a mass of people charged him hungry for his flesh. So he resorted to doing what he did best: hiding.
Occasionally he would dart out of his basement in order to drag the rubble around and make some sort of a shelter around the door to his hiding place. So far he'd escaped the notice of the cannibals roaming the streets, but he knew he had to move quickly before they found where he was and attacked him.
